The role involves

Working an 8&6 roster, the Electrical Superintendent is responsible for leading and coordinating the electrical maintenance team to meet all statutory and project electrical requirements and provide assistance to the Project Manager in electrical planning, resource allocation, and scheduling.

• Ensure that all work is conducted to a satisfactory level of quality, minimising the risk of failures and rework that could adversely impact operations.
  
• Maintain acceptable levels of spare parts to prevent major downtime.
  
• Identify and promote suggestions to increase productivity and/or reduce operating costs
  
• Assist operational and trades as required and within competencies.
  
• Liaise with the mechanical superintendent on all assistance required with machinery services, etc.
  

We are looking for

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in electrical installation and maintenance in an underground mining environment
  
• Minimum 2 years’ experience leading an electrical team
  
• Electrical Trade Certificate (Minimum)
  
• High Voltage Switching License
  
• In-depth and extensive knowledge and application of safe and reliable electrical installation and maintenance practices to maximise equipment and system reliability.
  
• Valid manual drivers license
  
• A positive work ethic and attitude in keeping with Redpath's motto, Consider it done — safely.
